2. Two pair of long underwear along with your regular undergarments. This is all that is required under your neoprene waders. As a alternative a sweat suit may be used.
3. Two pair of casual pants and shirts or turtle necks, suitable for travel and wearing around camp.
4. Two pair of gloves either neoprene, wool or Gore-Tex or combination of these.
5. One Kevlar filleting glove for handling fish for photographs etc.
6. Three pair of warm wool socks as well as regular socks.
7. One pair of Hiking boots or sneakers.
8. Two warm Flannel shirts or fishing shirts and one sweater or arctic fleece over shirt.
9. Down-filled parka or hunting jacket with hood.
10. Rain jacket with hood.
11. Small tackle box such as the Plano Sidekick! Please do not bring large tackle boxes! A small pouch that fits in wader pocket works well for shoreline fishing.
12. The following lures are recommended: ½, 5/8, 7/8, 1 and 1 1/4 ounce lures. Brightly colored florescent orange and red , white, yellow, and blue are the most common. Please feel free to bring a small selection of your own favorites as well.
ALL LURES MUST HAVE SINGLE HOOKS (either barb less or with the barb pinched down)
a. Blue fox pixies(gold or silver)with Florescent orange, pink, or chartreuse centers(1/2 or 7/8 oz.)
b. Little Cleos (nickel and blue)
c. Five of Diamonds(Eppinger daredevle type), ¾ and 1 ounce. One or two husky devles or troll devles.
d. Potato Bugs (florescent orange with black dots) (3/4 to 1 oz.)
e. A few Mepps or Panther Martin Spinners without Feathers.(#15 Panther Marten, # 5 Mepps) in chartreuse and black or florescent orange colors.
A full selection of lures is available at the lodge.
14. Ball bearing snap swivels for Char and ball bearing 6 to 12 inch leaders for lake trout.
15. Two light to medium action spinning rods and reels. A limited amount of equipment is available on a first come basis at the lodge for rent.
16. Monofilament line 10 - 14 pound test is the most popular.
17. A small tape measure to measure fish for trophies(Replicas only as we are catch and release), Needle nose pliers or equivalent are handy to remove hooks while on your own.
18. Mosquito repellent may be necessary early in our season. We also have it available at the lodge. DO NOT CARRY SPRAY CANS OF REPELLENT IN YOUR CARRY ON LUGGAGE AS IT WILL BE CONFISCATED BY SECURITY AT THE AIRPORTS.
19. The lodge stocks most of the popular brands of liquor and beer.
20. Camera, video camera and extra film. If it requires batteries bring an adequate supply of fully charged ones with you. We can charge batteries while at the lodge but not at outpost camps.
21. Baggage should consist of one soft duffel bag, Important one carry on bag for trip to outpost camps, one rod case and your camera equipment. Your small tackle box and reels should pack easily in the duffel bag.
22. Polaroid Sun Glasses plus extra pair in case of loss or breakage. Snap-Ons if you wear regular glasses.
23. One hat or cap. Some guests like fleece pullovers to keep ears warm.
24. Small Knap sack if you want to hike or explore.
1. Rifle, bow, crossbow or muzzle loader. 2. Warm fall clothing. 3. Water proof hiking boots, calf or knee high. Hip or chest waders if you have room. 4. Gloves, hat or ear band. 5. Light weight Spotting scope, binoculars, range finder. 6. large waterproof duffel bag or game bag to carry hide and horns home in. Note: this must be 100% waterproof otherwise the airlines will not accept your trophy for shipment. We have a limited number of plastic or rubber containers that you may purchase. 2. Rain suit pants, a large tackle box, Filleting knife, or coolers.
3. Fish weighing scales unless you are after a record in which case bring certified scales only.
4. Electric shaver(cordless ones are suitable if the battery will last the week)
